Aron Taylor-Smith Racing

The 2022 British Touring Car Championship is set to be one of the most exciting seasons in recent years after it was announced a max capacity grid of 32 cars would be fighting for the most coveted prize in British Motorsport. Árón Taylor-Smith will once again return to the series after signing a multiple year BTCC program with the ever-impressive Team HARD. The 2021 season saw the return of the multiple race winner at the wheel of the new Cupra in which he will remain in as the series enter the Hybrid Era. The 2022 season will also see an exciting new partnership between Taylor-Smith and Motorsport Legal.

Taylor-Smith refined & developed his Cupra throughout the 2021 season after a three year sabbatical from the series. The fiercely competitive BTCC welcomed the addition of the new Cupra for the 2021 season and the Irish ace regularly battled his way to the cuff of the top ten throughout the season, making for some very exciting racing along the way and showcasing the hard work that team had done in building this new car. An extensive winter development program is already under action by Team HARD to capitalise on the strengths that the car showed in its debut season and it goes into the 2022 as a package to watch.

Taylor-Smith commented: “The 2021 season was all about development of the new Cupra and I feel we have all the tools at our disposal to ensure 2022 is a big step forward off the back of it. I couldn’t be happier to welcome Sarah and Motorsport Legal into my BTCC program. It is great to get the opportunity to expand my existing partner network and it was clear that Sarah would be a great fit after welcoming her along to Silverstone last year.”

The BTCC offers an unrivalled marketing platform but also has a host of networking benefits to each of the ATS Racing partners. Motorsport Legal will wreak the benefits of having their logo prominently on display on Taylor-Smith’s Cupra as he fights for glory and will also be a key part of the ATS partner network.

Taylor-Smith commented: “In my opinion, the days where a logo on a car is the primary activation of a sponsorship program are well & truly over. I pride myself on being the hardest working driver on the grid to ensure that each of my partners see a quantifiable return from working together. Motorsport Legal is a perfect fit for my program as the BTCC paddock offers a wide host of potential avenues for the company. I think the F1 over the last few weeks has proved just how vital of a resource that a legal representative can be for both drivers & teams alike and this partnership is all about highlighting this and hopefully helping drivers like myself throughout the season.”

The entire championship will be covered comprehensively on TV and online, providing an excellent platform to showcase the exciting new partnership between Árón Taylor-Smith & Motorsport Legal. The opening round of the 2022 KwikFit British Touring Car Championship is at Donington Park on 23/24 April, be sure to keep an eye on the Motorsport Legal social media accounts in order to be in with an opportunity to attend races throughout the season.

Sarah Franklin of Motorsport Legal commented: “I had the opportunity to meet Árón at the Silverstone BTCC race weekend last season and instantly knew that his motorsport program would be perfect for Motorsport Legal. As a legal practice that offers advice and assistance to drivers, teams, organisers and strategic partners in series and championships all over the UK, from grassroots motorsport and upwards, the BTCC offers an unrivalled marketing & networking platform.  It’s an exciting time for Árón and Team HARD as the Cupra has enormous potential and I am looking forward to seeing the Motorsport Legal logo proudly on show on the car and working with Árón throughout next season.”
